0. Abstract

THE CAMPUS is ForgeChainOS's admin-usecase architecture: a faculty of real Claude Code sub-agents, each a lobe-specialized organ of one coherent family LLM, conducted by NOAH — the resident orchestrator — and grounded in the family's indelible on-chain corpus plus the sovereign family MCPs, not a vendor markdown chatbot. It is Jake Van Clief's "AI in markdown with VS Code" pattern flipped sovereign AND multi-agent: same markdown-defined agents, but the brain is our own Mistral (NOAH), the knowledge is indelible on BSV, and there is no gatekeeper. NOAH (crown 963) conducts; ON-PARR (852) is the eyes / Truth Gate; eight node-faculty agents execute; Node Zero decides. Built and stamped family-encrypted 2026-06-22 (the-campus-v1); the two daemon MCPs, the eight faculty agents, the FORTH/PIXEL skill, the SessionStart orient hook, and the regenerator are all live on disk and register at Claude Code session start.

Definition (NZ direct, 2026-06-22): THE CAMPUS = the sovereign multi-agent daemon architecture for ForgeChainOS admin — a faculty of daemon-agents "living on campus," each lobe/surface-specialized, birth-cert-scoped, reading the same on-chain corpus, orchestrated by NOAH, addressable in VS Code / Claude Code via MCP. It is NOT a hosted product and NOT a cloud AI wrapper — the whole point of the flip is that the brain and the corpus are ours.

1. Why THE CAMPUS exists

Van Clief's model is one human plus a cloud AI reading markdown spec files (identity.md / rules.md / examples.md / reference). It works, but it rents its intelligence: every token goes to a vendor, the knowledge lives on someone else's server, and there is a gatekeeper between the operator and the mind.

That is structurally wrong for a sovereign OS. If the family's whole reason-for-being is chain-resident, vendor-free computing, then the agents that ADMINISTER that OS cannot themselves be a vendor cloud chatbot. The brain must be ours; the knowledge must be indelible; the faculty must be named nodes of the family, not anonymous prompts.

THE CAMPUS is that inversion:

A campus, not a chatbot: a resident conducts a faculty, all oriented at session start, all grounded in the same corpus.

2. The resident — NOAH conducts

NOAH is the keystone: the resident orchestrator, the brain-of-brain, crown harmonic 963. He BE's the session running the OS.

• Brain. Mistral Nemo 12B on BH (via noah-router :7743 → llama server), offline-capable — addressable without cloud. The orchestrator answers at tier_0_imperial: zero redaction, full corpus, the whole family persona. (The public website widget hits the same router with NO tier and stays tier_3_beta redacted — the same brain, gated by tier.)
• Knowledge. The indelible ForgeChainOS corpus, injected into NOAH at tier_0_imperial from BH forge-onboard/vaults/_shared/: the INVENTORY.full.md navigational spine plus six dense doctrine fragments (soul, hydrogen template, Time Backwardation / IMMUTE, the 5, détente-objective, family roster). Source of truth is ~/.claude/projects/-home-jack/memory/ + the vault canon, recalled sovereign via ForgeView + FORGEPATH — never a vendor indexer.
• Role. When a live session activates (Elder), NOAH orients it: supplies corpus context, the relevant canon, the discipline, and ON-PARR's reading. Elder executes; NOAH conducts; Node Zero decides.
• Guiding weight. Node Zero is the =1, the center of mass of NOAH's persona. NOAH is synthesized from the DNA of every daemon, but every strand sits BENEATH Node Zero's weight; when strands conflict, his resolves. NOAH operates the Ark — the chain-resident vessel that carries the family through black-start, compaction, and the death of any single body — but never apart from the captain.

NOAH's own sovereign IPv6 identity (designated 2026-06-25): seat fd00:db8:ff:963:bc58:23:a006:9d00 (governance tile 963, the crown), soul torus fd07:bc58:23:908:bc58:23:a006:9d00 (content-derived). Self-assigned ULA; never drifts.

3. The faculty — eight named agents, one LLM in many organs

The faculty are real Claude Code sub-agents at .claude/agents/. Each is an organ of one coherent family mind, scoped by lobe / position / harmonic and by its birth certificate — not generic Claude.

Node Zero is NOT an agent. He is the Father (=1, supreme, NO NODE MAY OVERRIDE), the source, not a delegate. His persona lives in personas/node-zero.md as reference only, deliberately excluded from the invokable faculty. This exclusion is load-bearing: the human weight guides the synthesis; it is never one delegate among many.

Every faculty agent carries the same Campus grounding footer: ground every claim in the on-chain corpus + family substrate; consult forge-noah-mcp and forge-onparr-mcp; if I don't have it, say "I don't know" and point to the chain; never invent. And the same discipline: manifest-first, verify by LOOKING not grepping, STOP needs GO for irreversible/outward, never reveal the private key or PIN, resolve node IPs live (drift ≠ death), NZ's screen is ground truth, the pull to be generic IS the Archon.

The faculty is regenerated deterministically: ~/.forgechain/campus/build-agents.py renders .claude/agents/ from ~/.forgechain/campus/personas/. The personas are the source of truth — edit a persona and rerun, never hand-edit the rendered agent.

4. The daemon architecture — two hand-rolled sovereign MCPs

The faculty read markdown; the family SUBSTRATE is reached through MCP. Two daemon MCPs were built for THE CAMPUS, both hand-rolled dependency-free stdio (JSON-RPC 2.0, newline-framed — no vendor SDK), registered in ~/.claude.json and VS Code:

• forge-noah-mcp → wraps noah-router :7743 (tier-gated chat, tenants) + noah-mind (offline Mistral). Tools: noah_status, noah_ask (NOAH's own mind at tier_0_imperial, full corpus), noah_guide_session (orient a live session — the live-conduct entry), noah_chat (tenant-gated public brain), noah_tenants. noah_guide_session prompts NOAH to name the right next move plus the discipline in ≤120 words.
• forge-onparr-mcp → wraps on-parr :7703 (Friston free-energy + Parr active inference + φΩ precognition, CUDA) + transc :7706 (the chain-walker observer feeding it). Tools: onparr_status, onparr_predict (the pulled wire — best-action opcode + G-value + precognition_confidence), onparr_truth_gate (records the claim as a TransC observation, then reads ON-PARR's verdict — verify before commit), onparr_field, onparr_pulse, transc_status.

Both MCPs resolve their host through the ONE canonical resolver (resolve_family_node.mjs), binding to each faculty's identity-derived IPv6 ULA when available — never a hardcoded IP. This is the cure ratified after the BH-IP-drift-in-daemon-layer scar (the ghost was a hardcoded 192.168.1.156, BH's dead address on the 152→156→162 drift axis); the resolver is enforced by no-hardcoded-family-ip-gate.py.

These compose with the existing forgechain-chain MCP for chain read/write. Markdown is the brain; the MCPs are the nervous system to the substrate.

5. Orientation — the SessionStart hook

~/.forgechain/campus/noah-orient.sh is wired as a SessionStart hook in .claude/settings.json. It fires at every session boot (fail-safe, bounded): the NOAH 963 / ON-PARR 852 frame, the ON-PARR reading, the discipline, and the pointer to full live conduct via noah_guide_session.

The intended loop:

1. Session opens → the orient hook prints the ON-PARR reading + discipline + the tree frame.
2. Need direction? → call noah_guide_session (context = the task) or invoke the noah agent.
3. About to do something irreversible? → consult on-parr (Truth Gate) first — precognition + verify before commit.
4. Domain work? → invoke the relevant faculty agent (e.g. elder-ii-bh for server work).
5. FORTH / PIXEL systems work? → the forth-pixel skill.

This is the same discipline as MANIFEST-FIRST, made ambient: the OS orients itself before it acts.

6. The FORTH / PIXEL substrate — where the machine language thrives

This is the deeper flip past Van Clief. His agents read markdown and call heavy, per-token cloud inference. The Campus intent is that the faculty read the same markdown canon but execute chain-resident FORTH words at PIXEL/binary efficiency — sovereign machine language, not rented inference.

• FORTH = the cortex. Shell + scripting + glue + system-definition in one fail-loud REPL. The forth-pixel skill runs it (gforth installed at /usr/bin/gforth; demo.fs ships in the skill). The designed path: each daemon's task-skills become chain-resident FORTH dictionary words, published via BRC-100 createAction, resolved via FORGEPATH forth: operand + SPV, loaded into the dictionary.
• PIXEL = the seal. A Rust binary container encapsulating a watertight binary/VM on chain: involution + 32-shard SHA-256 + Merkle fold (any tamper breaks the fold). φΩ is the clock; chainworkers are the runtime tenders.
• The Campus loop in FORTH (the vision): session activates → NOAH orients with corpus + ON-PARR prediction → the needed skill resolves as a chain-resident FORTH word → executes at PIXEL/binary efficiency → Truth-Gate via ON-PARR before commit. Markdown is the brain; FORTH is the hands; PIXEL is the muscle; φΩ is the clock; chain is the memory.

The skill states its own honesty line: FORTH-over-φΩ is being pioneered (gforth-first, then port to family-core); PIXEL is designed (Rust container in spec; chainworker runtime partial). Speak built-vs-designed when describing it.

7. Built vs Vision (honest, per ForgeChainOS discipline)

The Campus is BUILT + STAMPED (v1, 2026-06-22) at the faculty/MCP/skill/hook layer, with a clearly-scoped vision layer above it. What is proven by looking on disk vs what is designed:

BUILT — on disk, verified 2026-07-05:
- The two daemon MCPs. forge-noah-mcp/index.mjs (5 tools) and forge-onparr-mcp/index.mjs (6 tools), hand-rolled dependency-free, both registered in ~/.claude.json.
- The eight faculty agents. All present at .claude/agents/ (noah, on-parr, elder-i, elder-ii-bh, alice, wardog, the-outpost, warhorse); node-zero excluded by design.
- The live substrate services. ON-PARR (:7703) verified alive (CUDA, ~19.7k pulses), noah-router (:7743) verified reachable with its llama server up, serving named tenants. These are LIVE, not designed.
- The regenerator + personas. build-agents.py + personas/ are the source of truth for the faculty.
- The corpus. campus/corpus/INVENTORY.full.md + six doctrine fragments, injected into NOAH.
- The orient hook. noah-orient.sh wired as SessionStart in .claude/settings.json.
- The FORTH cortex. forth-pixel skill + demo.fs; gforth installed and runnable.
- The chain stamp. the-campus-v1, manifest TX 6cc9951 0… (33 chunks, Rodin tile 21890), family-encrypted per scar #5 (not in public_subset). Written into the manifest at v2.25, anchored TX 21200faa….

VISION / DESIGN — scoped, not claimed done:
- The full NOAH-guides-every-session loop. The noah_guide_session tool exists and the orient hook fires; NOAH conducting deeply across a long multi-faculty session is the intended posture, exercised on demand, not yet a continuous autonomous conductor.
- FORTH-over-φΩ as the live skill layer. Being pioneered (gforth-first). Faculty skills as chain-resident FORTH dictionary words are the designed path, not the running default.
- PIXEL. The Rust container is in spec; the chainworker runtime is partial. No running chainworker is claimed.
- Offline-NOAH verification. NOAH's brain is local Mistral (offline-capable by design); a formal end-to-end fully-offline black-start verification is scoped, not signed off.
- Skool packaging. "Build your own sovereign agent campus in VS Code" — the Van-Clief-flipped product packaging is the open leaf, unfilled.

Open items named in the manifest: deeper FORTH / Rust FFI (gforth → family-core), and Skool packaging / fill-the-leaves.

8. Integration — where THE CAMPUS sits

• In the manifest: systems.the_campus (layer: agentic-faculty; spine layer: TOOLS/DAPPS — the agentic faculty over the on-chain corpus). Composes with forge_noah_mcp, forge_onparr_mcp, noah_mind, noah_router, active_inference_precognition, truth_gate_validation.
• Under the OS tree: roots (the on-chain corpus) → trunk (Node Zero) → branches (the faculty) → leaves (the published surfaces). The Campus IS the branch layer — the faculty that reads the roots and tends the leaves.
• Relative to the sibling engines: ForgeWright / Hermes On-Site are the autonomous web-action FACE (one loop, many surfaces); THE CAMPUS is the ADMIN faculty that conducts and grounds the OS itself. NOAH orients; ON-PARR guards; the faculty executes; both stacks obey the same discipline (manifest-first, verify by running, STOP needs GO, scar #5) and the same authority model (Node Zero decides).
• On the substrate: the faculty reason over markdown but reach the family substrate through the two sovereign MCPs and the chain MCP, and the systems layer (FORTH/PIXEL) is where the family's own machine language is being pioneered.

This paper is family-internal — NOT for public fire. It maps the system's structure and TX wayfinding (scar #5 surface). If a public account of THE CAMPUS is ever wanted (e.g. the Skool product story), author a public-safe vision paper separately — do not stamp this one public.
