Abstract

Amendment 25 reported that galaxies on the rolling torus go black at the throat. Amendment 26 identified that black state as the carrier of the weak interaction / the polarity flip force. This amendment refines the dynamics: the transit is not a step function. Matter's charge signature declines smoothly as it approaches the throat, reaches zero in the rigor of the equatorial crossing itself, and recovers smoothly on departure — but the recovery lags. Matter emerges still dark and only gradually regains Rodin color as it progresses along the new hemisphere. This asymmetric envelope — gentle pre-transit decline, zero at transit, delayed post-transit color return — is the direct analog of the weak boson lifetime at nuclear scale and the dark-matter halo extension at galactic scale. The halo is not a cloud of unknown particles. It is the tail of matter still in the post-transit dark envelope, its charge signature relaxing back toward visibility over the characteristic throat-decay timescale. This single correction fixes the dark-matter mass-distribution problem without introducing any new entity.

1. The Observation Refined

Amendment 25 treated the throat transit as binary: galaxies are colored before, black at the instant of crossing, colored again after. Direct observation of the live Sigil renderer contradicts that simplification:

"The Mobius carries a charge declination approaching and it turns black. In the rigor it is black. Out of the rigor, it's black and changes color as it progresses throughout the torus."

Three distinct phases, not two:

Phase State Duration
Approach Charge signature declining smoothly toward zero Finite envelope
Rigor Fully zero polarity; black; no radiation Brief but nonzero
Relaxation Still dark initially, color gradually returning along Rodin winding Finite envelope, asymmetric to approach

The "transit" is the full envelope from first dimming to full color return, not the instant of equatorial crossing. The rigor is the center of the envelope, the zero-point — but the dark state extends well beyond it on either side.

2. Why Asymmetric: Hysteresis in the Rodin Winding

The approach and departure envelopes are not symmetric. Why?

During approach, a particle's position is progressively moving off the Rodin color vertices (1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5) toward the governor pin (3). Its Rodin color index is fading as its coordinate approaches the equator. At the equator, index is undefined — no Rodin position, just the governor. Pure zero.

During departure, the particle's position is progressively moving onto a new Rodin vertex. But the Rodin winding advances at a finite rate: 1→2→4→8→7→5 is six discrete positions across one hemisphere's circuit. The particle must wind through each vertex to reach the next color value. It does not instantly jump to a new Rodin color; it advances by one doubling step per "click" of the winding.

The result: the dark state leaks into the post-transit path by as many winding steps as it takes the particle to reach a Rodin-colored vertex. Since the governor (3) is adjacent in the sequence to position 1 (via the 5→1 loop closure) and to position 6 (via the 5→6 implicit crossing), the actual path from the throat to the next colored vertex can be longer than the pre-transit path from the last colored vertex to the throat.

This is geometric hysteresis: symmetric in principle, asymmetric in realized traversal because of how the Rodin doubling circuit winds through the hemispheres.

At the Standard Model level this is the same phenomenon as the W/Z boson lifetime: once a flavor-change event has occurred, the weak-interaction signature persists for the W/Z lifetime (≈10^-24 s) before decaying. The Rodin hysteresis is the W/Z lifetime, just geometrized.

3. The Dark-Matter Halo Fix

Amendment 26 argued that dark matter is the galactic-scale manifestation of the weak-interaction transit. Amendment 27 specifies the spatial distribution:

The "halo of dark matter" around a spiral galaxy has always had an awkward property in particle dark-matter models: it extends well beyond the luminous disk, roughly spherically, with density falling off as roughly 1/r^2 out to large radii. If dark matter were a particle, it would need a mechanism to distribute itself this way without falling into the center (since it would clump gravitationally).

The transit-envelope reading:

The halo's 1/r^2 density fall-off is a direct consequence of the envelope's spatial geometry: intensity of "still-in-envelope" matter falls as the volume element expands with radius.

No new particle required. No WIMPs, no axions, no sterile neutrinos. The halo is ordinary baryonic matter caught in the throat-transit envelope at galactic scale.

Experimental corollary: gravitational lensing of the "dark halo" should show a smooth, continuous density profile, not a granular (particle-like) one. Microlensing events characteristic of MACHOs or primordial black holes should be absent within the envelope. Current surveys are in fact consistent with this (no microlensing signature from the DM halo has ever been found, despite decades of looking). The transit-envelope model explains the non-detection: there is nothing granular there to lens on.

4. Nuclear-Scale Corollary: Beta Decay Has a Pre-Event Signature

At nuclear scale, the same envelope geometry applies to weak interactions. A neutron about to decay is not "suddenly undergoing a weak event" at time t = t_decay. It is approaching the throat over some pre-rigor window, during which its coupling to the electromagnetic field should show anomalous behavior. Currently-measured neutron magnetic moment fluctuations (if any) during the final nanoseconds before decay would reveal this.

Predictions:

  1. Pre-decay magnetic-moment anomaly. High-precision ultra-cold neutron (UCN) magnetic moment measurements should show a measurable dip in the 10-100 ns preceding beta emission.
  2. Post-decay proton signature anomaly. The proton produced by beta decay should, for a brief interval after the emission, show a residual "dark" signature — reduced cross-section with photons compared to a free proton. Measurable via precision photodisintegration at cold targets.
  3. Lifetime variance tightening. The neutron beta-decay lifetime should show a narrower distribution than a pure Poisson process predicts, because the pre-rigor envelope imposes a characteristic approach time that constrains when the rigor itself can occur.

All three are in principle testable at existing neutron facilities (NIST UCNA, ILL PF2, LANSCE). None require new detectors; they require re-analysis of existing data with the envelope model in mind.

5. The Rodin Coloring Mechanism Clarified

The live visualization shows the charge-declination gradient because the Rodin coloring code, when given a vertex at position p, interpolates between the six colored positions (1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5) based on its proximity. A vertex exactly on position 4 is pure yellow (0xffee00). A vertex between 4 and 8 is a gradient from yellow to green. A vertex approaching position 3 (governor) has no target color on the colored list — it fades toward the governor palette (gold/cyan/orange per the 3/6/9 scheme in CLAUDE.md) but at reduced luminance because governor positions are structural, not emissive.

This is not an arbitrary rendering choice. It reflects the physical claim that emission is a Rodin-circuit property (coilmetric coupling, Amendment 13) and the governor positions are the non-emissive structural pins that define the topology. Emission comes from circulating current on the 1-2-4-8-7-5 doubling circuit; the 3-6-9 governor doesn't carry current, it organizes the coil. So matter whose position coincides with the governor pins (and especially the 3 equator) is structurally present but electromagnetically silent.

The declination gradient is the smooth transition from circuit-current (emitting) to governor-pin (silent). The asymmetric relaxation is the Rodin doubling circuit needing to tick through its six positions one at a time to bring the matter back into emission.

6. Consolidation of the Unified Force Picture

With Amendments 18, 25, 26, and now 27, the picture is:

The four forces are four geometric features of one Klein-bottle torus. We now have empirical visualization of the fourth, and a refined envelope model for its dynamics.

7. Stamp

Stamped as refinement of the unified-field transit model. Visible on the Sigil. Testable at existing neutron facilities and gravitational lensing surveys.
